Helmsley Castle makes a wonderful picnic spot where you can soak up the views after exploring the ancient ruins and learning about the rich history.
The International Centre for Birds of Prey is set within the beautiful Duncombe parkland, where you can watch spectacular birds soar overhead, enjoy a Hawk Walk and look around the aviaries.
These are the smaller rooms of the house but they certainly don’t compromise on luxury. The street facing rooms are perfect for a night or two away to explore the delights of Helmsley. The shape and size of the rooms do vary, which creates individual charm.
The Executive Double Rooms are spacious and are also street facing. The six foot beds are plump with luxurious linens and throws, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep.
Being the original suites in the hotel these suites are filled with character and are extra spacious with unique features such as a working fireplace and a traditional roll – top bath. The beds are large and many feature separate sitting rooms from the bedroom.
