Sopwell House Meetings and Events

Owing to its convenient location, well equipped function suites and attentive team, Sopwell House is an outstanding and award winning conference venue in Hertfordshire. The hotel is within 20 minutes from St Pancras International or just an hour’s drive from London.

From smaller business meetings and presentations to team building and product launches, the hotel is suitable for a multitude of events.

There are 19 function suites at Sopwell House, which can be arranged for a variety of events.

St Alban

This is a huge space accommodating up to 700 guests. It is situated on the ground floor and leads onto a pretty terrace area. Air conditioning and plenty of natural light make the suite comfortable as well as practical.

The Mountbatten

This is a versatile suite ideal for meetings and private dining. The suite can seat up to 100 delegates theatre style and 110 for receptions. There are also high ceilings, air conditioning and access to the terrace.

Lady Patricia and Princess Alice

As the smaller of the suites seating up to 60 delegates, this is a great space for boardroom meetings. There is natural light, access to the terrace and a movable partition wall that joins Patricia and Alice.

Princess Victoria and Prince Louis

On its own, Victoria accommodates 110 delegates but it can also be combined with Louis for an additional 25 delegates. The dance floor in the Prince Louis makes it perfect for receptions.

The Boardroom

Found on the first floor, the Boardroom is classically furnished with dark wood for a more corporate feel. There is plenty of lighting and a handy breakout room next door. There is a 70” HD TV and the room can seat 14 delegates.

Edwina Ashley

Seating up to 12 delegates, this boardroom has an integrated media hub, natural daylight and 80” LCD HD TV.

Lady Pamela

This room can accommodate up to 30 delegates theatre style, 20 for a reception and 14 boardroom style. It also benefits from integrated media hub and natural daylight.

Lady Juliana and Richard Lee

This is the most spacious of the first floor meeting rooms and features an integrated media hub, natural daylight, 80” LCD HD TV, separate breakout room, stocked fridge and coffee station. The rooms can be used either as one or separately and can accommodate up to 50 delegates theatre style.

If you would like to arrange a team building event, there are numerous activities to choose from, including Segway, sports, hovercraft and laser shooting.

The Walled Garden

This is a wonderful outdoor space perfect for a range of activities such as film and TV shoots, receptions or exhibitions.
