The long awaited new Spa at the Coniston Hotel in Skipton has opened its doors.

The Spa features modern, state-of-the-art facilities, which include an indoor swimming pool as well as an outdoor spa pool, a thermal suite, a gym and dance studio, terrace and, most importantly, eight spa treatment rooms, where guests can be pampered with products from Aromatherapy Associates, Jessica Nails and Kissed by Mii.

The Coniston Spa is offering numerous benefits to locals who sign up for spa membership before Christmas 2015, including use of all the facilities, a gym introduction and fitness test, an introductory spa treatment with two guest passes, free access to Wi-Fi, as well as hotel and spa discounts off treatments, food and accommodation.

The “Nourish” spa dining area is accessible to all members as well as hotel residents, where a unique menu created by celebrity author, dietician and naturopath, Elizabeth Peyton-Jones is prepared by the chef and served throughout the day.

Sam Wilson, who is the Spa General Manager, has gained experience from across the globe, in destinations such as the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, South America and Europe. Sam has also worked as Spa Manager on a number of different cruise lines such as Holland America, Princess, Regency, Disney and Royal Caribbean. With the position that Sam has held previously as Spa Director for 5* Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, guests are assured to be in good hands in The Coniston Spa.

Owner of The Coniston Hotel, Country Estate and Spa, Michael Bannister says, “Taking The Coniston from a small hotel and farm shop to one of the north of England’s top country resorts has been the labour of love, and to a large extent the Spa is the piece that completes the jigsaw for our guests, local residents and dedicated staff”.

Within the Coniston Estate, there is also a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy such as clay pigeon shooting, 4×4 off road driving, archery, falconry, fishing, walking and cycling.
