In the evening, retire to one of the beautiful rooms, each with its own country house charm. Being a small family run hotel, the great attention to detail adds to its charm. Having undergone several renovations over the last 12 years, the hotel pays testament to the passion and dedication of the Reynolds family.
The imposing building hides much fascinating history dating back to the 1740s, which enhances its personality. You will see evidence of this in its Georgian and Victorian architecture. In its past, the hotel was once a guest house for geologists who wanted to study Ingleborough and the area’s limestone topography. The land that the hotel was originally built upon was used as ‘the trading paddock’, which over the years became known as ‘The Traddock’, giving the hotel its current name.
The Traddock has won several prestigious awards throughout the years, including Editors choice Award for Dog Friendly Hotel – The Good Hotel Guide 2016, along with two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence and the AA Breakfast Award.
