A hidden gem within the dramatic North Devon landscape, The Mole Resort is the perfect mix of wealthy Victorian heritage, mixed with the modern luxuries of the modern world, set within a secluded and idyllic location, and boasting an array of adventures on their doorstep.
Dating back to 1879 with a wealth of history, The Mole Resort is both an impressive destination and a fascinating story. Beginning as a family home across 40 years, built with quarried stone from within the estate, The Mole Resort’s ground floor rooms within The Mansion became classrooms, with the grounds being maintained by German prisoners of war, before later becoming one of the finest hotels in Devon.
The Mole Resort is the idyllic, family-friendly destination within a picture-perfect area of the North Devon countryside. Not only does The Mole Resort offer an affluent array of activities from their indoor and outdoor swimming pools to the indoor games room at The Hub, whilst retaining the calm and relaxing ambience of the surrounding woodland and meadows.
Perfect for romance: enjoy The Mole Resort’s 127-acres of peaceful countryside ambience, staying in either the exquisite rooms and suites within the Victorian Mansion overlooking that incredible view, or the luxurious, two-bed self-catering lodges along the serene edges of the estate. Either meander through the estate to the Cellars Bar & Restaurant for your breakfast, lunch or evening meal, or enjoy the private delights of your self-catering facilities.
The Cellars Bar & Restaurant is the perfect centrepiece to The Mole Resort; a restored cellar below The Mansion with stone arches, cosy alcoves to enjoy a hand-made cocktail or two, and floor-to-ceiling windows to capture that exquisite Devon countryside view.
Offering a variety of indulgent dishes across light lunches and delightful evening dinners, with mouth-watering afternoon homemade scones and cream tea in the leisurely afternoons – expertly crafted and locally sourced with the finest local Devon ingredients and produce.
