Children are made very welcome at Lucknam Park, and there is no shortage of fun activities on site to keep them entertained.  Enjoy the beautiful park setting of the children’s outdoor adventure play area which includes an exciting Triple Tower play system, swings for all ages and a rocking horse, or the five a side all weather football pitch.

Make the most of the beautiful hotel grounds with ten courts, croquet, walking trails and cycling – or build up some speed with the go carts and scooters. Indoor board games, DVDs and videos are available for rainy day fun, and the 20 metre indoor swimming pool is always a favourite.  The latest addition is The Hideaway – set just a short walk away from the hotel, the whole converted cottage filled with fun activities that will see imaginations come to life. Lucknam Park has its very own equestrian centre with a range of horses to suit all ages and abilities so children will love this magical experience.  Activities such as tennis coaching, falconry and clay pigeon shooting can be arranged with advanced notice

As a child friendly hotel, Lucknam Park understands the need for flexibility on family breaks.  You can make the most of family rooms that are interconnecting and adjoining, and those with children under 12 can benefit from an extra bed and cots in some of the rooms.  A baby sitting service is also available at family friendly Lucknam Park Hotel.

For food, The Brasserie offers informal dining and has special children’s menus, or youngsters are welcome to choose from the normal Brasserie menus. Children aged over 5 are welcome to enjoy formal dining at Lucknam Park’s Michelin starred Restaurant Hywel Jones, where reservations are essential.

Days out

Lucknam Park is near to lots of child friendly days out, with fun for all the family.  Longleat Safari Park and Bath City Farm offer opportunities to get up close and personal with many different animals.  Longleat was the first drive through safari park to open outside of Africa – from penguins and giraffes to cheetahs and gorillas, you can learn all about animals from all over the world.  Explore the mysterious Wookey Hole, where you can join in fun activities to help you find out more about caves, and you can investigate the home of the elusive Witch of Wookey.
