Hampton Manor Takes the Limelight
13th November 2013
If ever there was a perfect marriage between contemporary chic and historic elegance, then Hampton Manor is it, and will undoubtedly be celebrating many anniversaries over the coming years. They say opposites attract and that’s exactly what has happened at this truly original manor house.
The walls of the 19th century historic house remarkably embrace the funky, exciting colours, plush furnishings and stylish wallpaper of its modern interior. Whether or not you love this unusual design combo, you’ve got to admit it’s pretty damn cool. My guess is, you won’t be at all surprised that following the recent AA inspection at the hotel, it was given a Five Star Gold Award earlier this month.
But not only are the rooms at Hampton Manor in a league of their own, Peel’s Restaurant is another reason to pack your bags and head to Solihull. If you’re not tempted by the romantic setting of the courtyard, with its glass roof, stone floors and pillars, then perhaps you will be seduced by the vintage champagnes, massive selection of wines and seasonal dishes, which will have you drooling uncontrollably! The AA inspector was certainly won over by the excellence of the food as it was given 2 AA Rosettes, the highest accolade that can be given on the first visit.
It must have been a proud moment for Jayne O’Malley the Hotel Director, who commented: “This is a huge achievement for Ryan Swift, Head Chef, and his team, considering Ryan has only been in his position of Head Chef since February.”
Zoe Oakley, Director of Crisp White Sheets says: “Hampton Manor is a very special place and their new awards are very well deserved. Each time I visit the hotel, my expectations on service and food are always exceeded. They do also have some of the coolest rooms around.”
So now I have shared one of my guiltiest pleasures with you, I expect you’ll be tripping over yourself to stay there. Just make sure after your visit you spread the word about this hip hotel!
