Exquisite Lucknam Park

19th September 2012

On arrival at Lucknam Park near Bath, you really do feel like you have arrived. The tree lined drive that greets you is truly magnificent. The palladium mansion that awaits you is a stunning example of 18th century architecture that has been maintained to the highest standards.

The team at Lucknam Park are all experts in their field and couldn’t do enough for us. We spent some time talking about wine with their sommelier, who inspired me to try a white from Long Island, which I would highly recommend. We dined in The Park restaurant, which was a very relaxed dining experience with wonderful food prepared by head chef Hywel Jones. We were the last to leave the restaurant, as the extensive cheese selection had to be tried.

The wonderful thing about Lucknam Park is the mix of lavish traditional luxury with brand new spa and brasserie facilities. You can really experience the love for both in one place.

Lucknam Park also think about their younger guest, by providing a selection of bikes, trikes and scooters, allowing them to explore the estate with whilst you relax and enjoy the scenery.

My one regret whilst there, is not having the time to use their equestrian centre and hack around their 500 acre estate. Ah well, that simply means I will have to return again in the near future.
