Spa Etiquette

  • Wondering what to wear in the spa? Take a couple of swimming costumes, one for swimming and one to wear during treatments. I’d also recommend taking some flip flops and a sarong. More often than not the spas will provide robes, towels and slippers but it is always advisable to check beforehand. Most importantly, a spa day is about relaxing, so wear what makes you most comfortable.
  • Unless lunch is already organised within a spa package, try and book before you arrive so that you’re not waiting around during treatments. Also mention to them if you have any special dietary requirements.
  • Make sure you turn your phone off.
  • Don’t arrive late. Usually 20-30 minutes before your appointment is ideal. You may have paperwork to fill in, then you will need time to get changed or even enjoy the steam room and Jacuzzi.
  • Shower or freshen up, especially if you have been in the swimming pool as you will need to wash the chemicals off your skin.
  • If you want to talk during your treatment, try and speak in a quiet voice.
  • If it is necessary for you to cancel your appointment, try and allow 24 hours notice if possible.
