Totally immersed in the lush green scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, guests can enjoy fresh country air, quaint villages and outdoor pursuits. Sitting in a gorgeous location where Wainwright discovered countless walking trails, The Traddock is perfect for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Priding itself on its team of friendly and professional staff, you are guaranteed one of the warmest welcomes in Yorkshire. Relax among the tranquil and cosy atmosphere, and let yourself be captured by the magic of this special place.

The excellent food and drink here adds to your luxury stay in Yorkshire. With the restaurant being awarded two AA Rosettes, you can indulge your tastebuds with quality ingredients and memorable dishes created from local, seasonal and organic produce. And to enhance the dining experience, you can also choose from an impressive wine list, which showcases over 70 fine wines.

In the evening, retire to one of the beautiful rooms, each with its own country house charm. Being a small family run hotel, the great attention to detail adds to its charm. Having undergone several renovations over the last 12 years, the hotel pays testament to the passion and dedication of the Reynolds family.

The imposing building hides much fascinating history dating back to the 1740s, which enhances its personality. You will see evidence of this in its Georgian and Victorian architecture. In its past, the hotel was once a guest house for geologists who wanted to study Ingleborough and the area’s limestone topography. The land that the hotel was originally built upon was used as ‘the trading paddock’, which over the years became known as ‘The Traddock’, giving the hotel its current name.

The Traddock has won several prestigious awards throughout the years, including Editors choice Award for Dog Friendly Hotel – The Good Hotel Guide 2016, along with two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence and the AA Breakfast Award.

Situated in the limestone Dales with stunning walks on the doorstep, The Traddock, after four visits, is my favourite small hotel. The newly finished suite is superb, coupled with excellent food and traditional comfort. Can’t wait for our next visit.

All in all wonderful relaxing stay. We shall visit again in the not too distant future when the weather is a little warmer so we can take advantage of the local countryside.

This is such a welcoming home from home. As soon as we arrived we were met by friendly staff. Our room was beautiful, so full of character and had great views. This is one of my favourite places to eat, the food is divine and the I’ve never experienced service like it. It’s almost as if the staff can read your mind and magically appear to fill your wine glass, remove plates or to check if everything is ok! The best hotel in Yorkshire!
