Peering out from behind a soft pink blossom tree on the neatly trimmed lawn, Tickton Grange in Beverley has created something very special and will make you fall in love at first sight.
The family run country house not only has the kind of warm and cordial welcome you always hope for from a relaxing escape, you can really sense the love and dedication that has gone into making this beautiful hotel.
Standing on the brink of the Yorkshire Wolds, just outside of the market town of Beverley, Tickton Grange Hotel retains historic features, which are intermingled with contemporary and elegant furnishings. Earthy palettes are splashed with colour to provide guests with calm and cosy bedrooms, where old and new blend seamlessly. Some with sash windows, some with period fireplaces and some with antique furniture, each totally beautiful and unique.
While the hotel is in the perfect spot for exploring East Yorkshire, we can’t promise you will want to leave the comfort of your room. But if you do feel the urge to escape and explore, you might want to tread the cobbled streets of Beverley, dipping in and out of boutique shops or stopping off for a coffee at a pavement café to pause and watch the world go by.
If nature is your thing, a walk along Bempton Cliffs lets you discover the local wildlife and take in the phenomenal coastal views.
It’s not just about the aesthetics at the hotel, food here is a pretty big thing too. Hide is a restaurant with an air of distinction and plates of food you won’t forget in a hurry. The fabulous restaurant at Tickton Grange headed by not one but two great chefs provides an elegant backdrop for dining on the most delicious food. Sourcing the freshest ingredients from artisan producers in Yorkshire and the hotel’s kitchen garden, menus are filled with dishes that let you savour the intense and mouthwatering flavours.
Flaunting Georgian features and classic furnishings, the Broadley Room can be used for private and intimate dining for both business and leisure.
Weddings at Tickton Grange
Being such a special place, it’s no surprise that Tickton Grange is a much loved wedding venue in Yorkshire. Imagine canapes on the lawn, photo shoot in the garden pavillion and a grand ceremony in the Rose Room, as well as 21 bedrooms for yourself and your guests.
There are several rooms available for both weddings and special celebrations, seating between 20 and 150 guests. So whatever the occasion, there is a space that will suit you.
Inviting light to flood into the space, these rooms are bright and airy but most of all, the extra comfy beds will lull you into a deep sleep.
Each of these rooms has a charm of its own, whether it’s the original sash windows, Georgian fireplaces or garden views.
The Granary is a gorgeous red brick building separate from the main house. The four rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and can either be booked for exclusive use or individually.
There are two suites at Tickton Grange, adding even more luxury to your stay with extra spacious rooms, seating area and stunning furniture. If you’re longing for a little romance, one of the suites has a four poster bed fit for the occasion.
We would like to thank you for our lovely visit to Tickton Grange on Thursday. The staff were very kind and we had a lovely stay and a very delicious meal in the Hide Restaurant.
The room was perfect and every little detail was thought out. The tea tray had shortbread and lots of choices of tea including loose tea and strainer!
