Set within 200 acres of rural North Yorkshire on the historic Middleton Lodge Estate, The Coach House in Richmond is a charming honey-coloured stone building. Dating back to the 18th century, the old estate carriage house has been transformed into an award winning restaurant and hotel. A mix of traditional features with contemporary interiors creates a beautifully unique kind of hotel.
Located just on the outskirts of Richmond, The Coach House is shrouded by gardens and parkland dating back to the Georgian era. With a well-tended Kitchen Garden on its way, the Head Chef at The Coach House Restaurant creates wonderfully fresh, modern British dishes from the very best local ingredients inspired by the ever-changing seasons.
The laid back cocktail bar and casual restaurant can be accessed through the original archways that encase the hotel and provide a relaxed dining experience. Reclaimed timber and tweed-covered seating, mixed with old school benches give the space its own, stylish character.
This is the perfect country retreat for everyone, from food lovers, cyclists, and walkers to those looking for a weekend of relaxation. Spend the day exploring the grounds on the woodland trail or hire one of the estate’s vintage bicycles. For those lazy days, find a quiet spot in in the lounge with your favourite book or a board game, or book yourself a massage or facial at The Treatment Rooms.
The Garden Rooms nuzzle into a picturesque woodland setting, like something from a fairy tale, while the first floor Hayloft rooms overlook the tranquil courtyard and gardens. The restored Farmhouse sits within its own wildly beautiful garden, with six bedrooms, as well as a private living area for its residents.
