Dating back to 6th Century, Llangoed Hall is an infamously historic, country-house hotel with 23 bedrooms and picturesque views across the Welsh countryside. Once donated by Price Iddon to the Welsh church, Llangoed Hall is believed to have been a legendary palace – home to the first Welsh Parliament and rich in history and one of the oldest hotels in Wales.

Once owned by both Clough Williams-Ellis; designer of the ‘Italianesque’ village of Portmeirion and Sir Bernard Ashley; husband of Laura Ashley, Llangoed Hall fuses contemporary and antique with quintessentially English decor with luxurious, Laura Ashley furnishings. Each of Llangoed Hall’s 23 bedrooms present an array of luxurious, unique interiors to create the perfect, ‘at home,’ ambience.

Similar to Llangoed Hall’s history, this impressive, country-house hotel boasts a rich collection of original artwork. From the genius mind of the infamous, impressionist artist James McNeill Whistler to the ex-war artist Augustus John; Llangoed Hall display of original artwork within each room of the hotel for guests to admire.

Set within 17 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and a pebble-throw away from the tranquil babbling of the River Wye, Llangoed Hall boasts breathtaking views across the Welsh countryside, rolling hills and impressive Black Mountains – a haven for peace and tranquillity.

Whether you wish to remain within the delightful hotel grounds or explore a little further into the green Welsh countryside, Llangoed Hall have created and located a bountiful list of things to do both in and around the hotel.
