Hiding in a quiet corner of the market town, The Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne is a one-of-a-kind townhouse that leaves other luxury hotels in Dorset behind. Its red brick frontage is deceptive as the rear of the hotel is more akin to a country house.

Sherborne is the kind of place you could imagine finding in a picture book. The town is speckled with independent shops, and narrow streets meander among ancient buildings – making it very easy on the eye and a wonderful place to explore. Sherborne Abbey dominates the skyline with its imposing architecture, and just on the fringes of the town you’ll find two historic castles set inside beautiful gardens.

Inside The Eastbury Hotel, the concoction of styles is surprising; Georgian and contemporary design rub shoulders while colourful artwork flirts with exposed stone walls. There are lots of little nooks and crannies dotted around, inviting you to share cosy chats and a few drinks.

Step outside into the enchanting walled garden that’s so typically English with its leafy trees and manicured lawns. At the bottom of the garden you’ll discover a romantic dining pod resembling Cinderella’s carriage, where you can celebrate that special occasion with your loved one.

Every once in a while you come across a restaurant that you’ll never forget – all for the right reasons, of course! Seasons Restaurant at The Eastbury Hotel is one of those special places. It’s 2 AA Rosettes pay testament to its seasonal menus and incredible dishes. Dine inside or out and choose from a 7 Course Tasting Menu or more casual lunch and dinner menus. Afternoon tea is a must here, and the amuse bouche is to dine for!

If you like individuality, you’ll love the bedrooms at The Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne, each with its own inimitable personality. Whether you opt for the more traditional Georgian style rooms or contemporary-chic design, you’ll be greeted with pure luxury. If you’re thinking of bringing your furry friend along too, enquire about the dog friendly rooms.
