This charming hideaway nestles among sprawling countryside and gardens and sits on a working farm in the Chatsworth Estates. Dannah Farm Country House in the Peak District is one of the most beautiful luxury B&Bs in Derbyshire, guaranteeing an idyllic stay for anyone wanting a tranquil escape.

The original farmhouse is steeped in history and dates back to the 18^th century. The farm is enveloped by 154 acres of land and still retains ‘The Mottes’, a medieval moat.

As you approach the farmhouse, bursts of colourful flowers and a magical walled garden draw you into a natural world. The striking gardens have earned the hotel the accolade of the Amber Valley ‘Best Kept’ on two occasions. Koi pond, fruit tress and Kunekune pigs can be seen gracing the gardens.

Inside the gorgeous farmhouse and adjoining stone buildings there is a really relaxed atmosphere, with impressive bedrooms that blend boutique with traditional. Many of the rooms feature either a private hot tub, Jacuzzi or double spa bath.

The Spa Cabin

A luxurious addition to the Hay Loft Spa Suite, the Spa Cabin is set in the private garden area with a large Canadian Spa Hot-Tub on the terrace. Inside the cabin is a stylish living space with leather sofa, flat screen TV, honesty bar and a wealth of thoughtful extras. The Cabin also boasts a double steam shower and large Finnish sauna.

The Secret Garden

This idyllic private garden offers the perfect retreat for romantic breaks. Enveloped by a stone wall, trees and farmland, the garden boasts a beautiful setting and can be booked along with the accommodation at Dannah Farm. There is a wooden pod for changing and an indulgent Canadian Spa Hot Tub, where you can sink into warm bubbles and look out across lush countryside.

Dannah Farm has built itself a bit of a reputation for its hearty farmhouse breakfasts, which are made from locally sourced ingredients and produce that is grown on the farm itself.

Although Dannah Farm doesn’t provide evening meals, there are numerous restaurants and pubs nearby that offer fabulous food.

Attractions

There are lots of places to visit in the local area and are just a short drive from Dannah Farm. If it’s history that you have a passion for, there are stately homes close by. Chatsworth House is one of the area’s most famous historic houses and makes a fantastic day out. Other places to explore include Haddon Hall, Buxton Opera House, Balsover Castle, Kedleston Hall and Calke Abbey.

Thrill seekers can also get their fix at a wealth of theme parks and attractions such as Alton Towers, Gulliver’s Kingdom and Castleton Caves.

The Granary Suite

This is the largest of the suites at Dannah Farm and features split level accommodation with a sitting room and a spacious bedroom with wooden beams. The bathroom is sumptuous with a double spa bath and wet room with body jets. Step out from the sitting room onto a private terrace with its own hot tub, perfect for a romantic retreat.

Studio Hideaway

Chic wallpaper, wooden beams and spiral staircase add real charm to this two level accommodation. The suite has a beautiful living space and bathroom featuring a double shower on the ground floor and the spiral staircase leads to the cosy bedroom above. But the real highlight of the Studio Hideaway has to be the exclusive hot tub on the private terrace area.

Hay Loft Spa Suite

This room is certainly a show stopper with its vibrant colour scheme, chunky wooden beams, handmade Morpheus bed and exposed stone walls. The ensuite bathroom is equally as impressive and features a double roll top bath and walk in shower. The sitting area is spacious with a large comfy sofa. Make the most of your own private Spa Cabin featuring a large Finnish sauna, comfy seating area with a TV and a double power shower; nestled within your private garden and terrace area beside your private outdoor hot tub.

Ecclesbourne

An elegant room with oversized bed, private dressing room and sitting area. The bathroom is the piece de resistance with a wet room, shower with body jets, double spa bath and your own private sauna. Views of the garden and valley also make this one of the most desirable rooms at Dannah Farm.

Wilderbrook

Featuring a beautiful bedroom and separate sitting room, there is lots of space to relax in. The luxurious bathroom has a shower, Jacuzzi spa bath and flat screen television. The window seat provides the perfect perch for enjoying views of Wilderbrook Valley and the surrounding countryside.

Garden Room

The wooden four poster bed takes centre stage in the Garden Room. Guests can also enjoy a sitting area and separate dressing room. The ensuite boasts a double air bath, shower and television.

Chatsworth Suite

Heather Cottage

This 5 star stone cottage lies in the village of Kirk Ireton and is a special romantic retreat just for two. It is sumptuously furnished with luxurious fabrics, atmospheric lighting and stylish décor, combining to create a warm and welcoming haven of tranquility. The french windows open onto the private patio where you will find the large, warm and bubbling Canadian Spa Hot-Tub – just for you. Heather Cottage, although self-catering, is filled with delightful extras – from the wine chilling ready in the fridge to the luxurious toiletries and fluffy bath robes.

Honeysuckle Cottage

Brimming with characterful features such as oak beams, oak flooring and a rustic four poster bed, the luxurious bedroom at Heather Cottage is a delightful retreat perfect for couples. The impressive six foot bed was handmade in Matlock and its beams once formed part of the Crossley Motors factory. Enhanced even further by the beautiful chandeliers, plush fabrics and original artwork, this is a sumptuous haven for a romantic break.
