Fringed by leafy oak woodlands in the rural parish of grange de Lings, Bridleway B&B near Lincoln offers luxury accommodation less than three miles from this historic city in the East Midlands. Guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside or, if you prefer to soak up some of the history and culture, you can enter the buzz of the city. With the county showground just a stone’s throw away from the boutique B&B, you can also enjoy a day out at one of the many events.
Lovingly renovated to reflect its rural location, yet boasting boutique and chic design, Bridleway is a luxury B&B that invites the outdoors in, with rustic knick knacks, exposed brickwork, garden views and stone floors. And adding pure luxury to the ongoing rustic vibe, you can also expect silk curtains, sumptuous beds and underfloor heating.
Each of the bedrooms, (stylishly converted stables and kennels) has been created from love and passion. Owner, Jane, uses her creative talents to dress the rooms in recycled curiosities, and you can admire her wonderful animal portraits in the conservatory, which many of the guests’ pets kindly posed for!
Earthy Farrow and Ball tones with splashes of vibrant hues dictate the colour palette throughout the gorgeous family run B&B, giving the place a homely yet relaxed atmosphere. Each morning guests can wake to a bountiful hamper filled with fresh, warm pastries with homemade conserves, yoghurt, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Alternatively, you can enjoy a continental or cooked breakfast in the conservatory, a bright space where you can help yourself to hot drinks throughout your stay.
You will find numerous animals such as dogs, cats, hens and sheep casually strolling around the grounds. Guests are also welcome to bring their horse with them, which can be stabled for just £20 a night, and this is one of the very few horse friendly bed and breakfasts near Lincoln.
One of the things we love most about Bridleway B&B, besides its inimitable rustic style of course, is the outstanding hospitality provided by Jane. Baking homemade scones and cookies for your arrival, organising dining out (and even chauffeuring you to the restaurant), and providing a complimentary laundry service, you’ll be hard pushed to find such a generous host elsewhere.
