Congham Hall was built in approximately 1780 by a wealthy King’s Lynn merchant. The Hall remained a private family house until 1982. Although the hall remains an elegant and graceful house, it has the added benefits of a contemporary spa. Horses graze on the parkland, wild flowers flourish in the woodland and the renowned Herb Garden is a hive of activity – both for bees and people! The herb garden is very typical of the gardens of old, that worked for a “big house” supplying flowers, baby vegetables and herbs most weeks of the year. A collection of over seven hundred different varieties of herbs can not only be seen but smelt, in all their glory, in the immaculately laid out gardens.
Congham Hall staff are renowned for dealing with sensitivity to the needs of anxious partners planning a wedding or civil ceremony. From planning the service in the Hall, choosing the food and wine, and hosting the event, the important special day will run smoothly with the help of Congham staff.
