Chateau Rhianfa Wins Top Hotel Restaurant of the Year

Selected from thousands of nominees at the recent Food Awards Wales 2015, which was held at Cardiff’s Holland House Hotel, Chateau Rhianfa stole the limelight when it won Top Hotel Restaurant of the Year.

Hosted by Capital 1’s Polly James, Head Chef Andrew Sheridan and Sous Chef Jacob Smith were recognised on the evening for their culinary talent, along with local producers. The hotel was commended for its outstanding dining experience, which combines locally sourced meats, fresh fish and lobster from the Menai Strait, and cheeses from the Snowdonia Cheese Company. Various types of venues were nominated for the award and included restaurants, gastro pubs, cafes and bistros.

General Manager of Chateau Rhianfa, Martin Page commented on the success: “We’re very proud to say that Anglesey is now home to Wales’ best hotel Restaurant, and that is without a doubt down to the talent and hard work of Andrew and his team, who offers diners top quality food and service.”

With mesmerising views across the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, few restaurants can boast such phenomenal scenery. But it’s clearly not just the vistas that deserve the praise here, the food at Chateau Rhainfa has certainly got everyone talking.
