Attracting the biggest and best aerospace technology in the world, Farnborough International Airshow is a highly prestigious event and is taking place between between 14th and 20th July 2014. There is plenty of goings on at this event with the red arrows, military jets and helicopters soaring through the sky and performing tricks. Plus on the ground you’ll find a host of family activities, displays, demonstrations and exhibits all of which are geared towards to the incredibly exciting world of aviation.
You’ll get the chance to meet and talk to the pilots and the ground crew, discover a host of displays and you can even get up close to the aeroplanes to learn all about its features and brand new aviation technology. There’s plenty for the kids as well with face paintings, games and entertainment around every turn.
There are plenty of food and beverage options at the show to ensure that nobody without during this fun-filled event. You can dine in the brassiere-style Skyview Restaurant, or enjoy a light lunch at the Hall 1A Café which offers a selection of hot and cold food options. If you wanted to indulge in a taste of luxury during your time at the show then the Flightline Club is perfect for that. The airshow also provides an array of demonstrations and insightful educational lessons to people aged 11-21 from UK schools and universities, so they themselves can learn all about the ground-breaking new aerospace technology, the majority of which will be launched the first time. Students will get the chance to meet NASA astronauts, pilots, engineers and industry leaders who are all there with the aim of teaching them about each profession and quite possibly attracting keen apprentices.
